_Less “Helpless” PT. 2
Collaboration: Asiah Alsalem & Phoebe Lee
A piece that questions our integrity with our belongings, asking us to see the life and soul in still objects through endearment and affection.
A series of 3D printed fork sculptures warped and modeled in negatives angles representing postures that show melancholy; suggesting a state of sorrow where they are no longer useful because of negligence and loss of endearment—showing that objects can speak for themselves without having a dialogue.
A sad joke treated to be seriously inspired by the “Chindogu” culture of useless inventions. The un standard fragility and rawness of the forks are the finishing touch.
